On average, there are 4,000 visits to Jersey's Emergency Department every year by children because of an accident.
With 16,000 children living on Jersey, there is a lot we can all do to try and reduce that number.
That does not mean we want all children wrapped up in cotton wool! Taking risk is an important part of growing up, bumps cuts and grazes are part of that. Serious injury is not.
Looking more closely at why accidents are happening helps us predict future accidents. We can pick out areas or hot spots where we can do more and get important key safety messages out.
