It is a requirement of law that all children under the age of 14 years wear a correctly fitted cycle helmet.

This law came into place in 2014 and says that children must wear a protective helmet if they are: aged 13 years and under, on a pedal cycle or trailer drawn by a pedal cycle, on a road or cycle track.
